ABOUT THE CPCAB TRAINING ROUTE
The CPCAB-accredited Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills is the first step in training as a qualified counsellor
CPCAB's Certificate in Counselling Skills (CSK-L2) is the starting point on the path to a recognised qualification in counselling at Level 4, which can build in an assessment by BACP, the largest such organisation in the UK, affording candidates immediate acceptance as full BACP members upon completion of our training. Please note that not all CPCAB-recognised centres support a BACP-approved qualification, so please do check with your chosen Level 4 provider first.
Whoever you choose as your provider, we recommend you undertake a training route that is recognised by an organisation listed by UK's Professional Standards Authority. CPCAB's BACP-approved Level 4 training meets the entry requirements for several of these bodies. You can find a list of professional bodies which have authorised Accredited Registers by visiting the UK's Professional Standards Authority website, and a list of Level 4 training providers in your local area on CPCAB's Centre Finder.
